Happy first day of spring. It’s sure been a cold, cold winter but you made it through.

BOO

  • This happened like two days ago but I NEED to report that while seated right down on celebrity row at a Knick’s Game, Tracy Morgan projectile vomited onto the court, stopping play. Help. 50 Cent posted the incident on IG with the caption “Damn Tracy WTF going on bro.”

  • It’s grocery stores (as opposed to fast food chains and convenience stores) that are the #1 source of ultraprocessed food in the American diet. Highly processed foods dominate Whole Foods, Walmart, and Target shelves, according to new research.

  • Forget the inverted yield curve and look around at all the roots:  Recession Brunettes (ie women not dying their hair) is the new recession indicator.

  • No bombshells came out of the newly declassified JFK assassination files. Just what they’d want you to think.

YESS

  • In a huge win for sad people with excellent taste, NYTimes critics called Andrew Scott’s Vanya ‘HEARTBREAKING’ </3

  • Polyphenol-rich lees from filipino rice wine called tapuy have been found to have anti-aging properties. If I knew anything I’d get on that shit and become Gen Z/DEI-ified Mathilde Thomas. Asian Caudalie or what ???

LIT

  • The second Hunger Games prequel, Sunrise on the Reaping is out. It’s about the only District 12 winner before Katniss and Peeta, Haymitch Abernathy.

  • Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson tackle government regulation and bureaucracy to rethink American liberalism in their new book Abundance.

MIAM

  • Nobody is taking their leftovers home anymore.

  • The Vietnamese/French restaurant Ha’s Snack Bar is NYC’s “most exciting new restaurant.”

  • Domestic wines are having a moment because of the rowdy little trade war going on, so FLX wines are in the spotlight. NYT recommends a bunch including Barbichette Seneca Lake Cabernet Franc from 2022.

BOP

  • Wild Pink edit of ‘Good Stuff’ by Bnny

Have a good day ★
