it seems my desperate, tearful pleas for reprieve have gone unheard: the third season of Euphoria is filming.
Trump has blamed Zelensky for preventing the peace after he rejected a “deal” that would require Ukraine to cede the territory lost during the war as well as Crimea to Russia. to be fair, Trump did tell Putin to “STOP !” after the attack on Kiev early this morning. nevertheless, his envoy is departing to Moscow tomorrow to suck the Kremlin off in person.

big rally day for European and American markets. in the Eurozone, markets closed up 0.38% this evening, and in the US, stocks are ticking upward for the third consecutive day.
moving toward a China-US trade deal seems like it will be even more of a slog than anticipated: China said that to even begin trade talks, the US will have to cancel tariffs.

Centre Culturel, Sonny’s Pizza, Rori, and Oobatz are in the running for the best pizza in Paris for Time Out’s 2025 Food and Drink awards. the last two intrigue me most, Rori because it bears such a resemblance to Fini that there’s no way it’s coincidental and Oobatz because they use sourdough which, my visit to Frankie’s taught me, I love.
today Emma and I visited Sevenly Heart in the Marais, on both of our ‘Paris Try’ lists for some time now. the atmosphere was cozy, the type of place you might want to lose track of time reading or in quiet conversation, as we were. the matcha (which I got with regular milk and Emma with oat) was a little sweet for my liking. the carrot cake was really fun though: not so sweet, with walnuts, and an airy cream cheese frosting topped with little pansies.
