disgraced former mayor Cuomo is back in the running. all his rivals are ganging up on him for his pandemic response like schoolyard children. one candidate describes himself as a former B or C-list rapper. New York is a sexy city full of gritty, capable, whip-smart motherfuckers and this is the best it could come up with ?

I was vehemently anti-travel guide, until I realized people often just turn out bad travel guides. some good ones I’ve seen lately are changing my mind, though. Travel + Leisure posted the most perfect list I’ve seen of things to do in Paris since I moved. highlights included the mention of lunch at Breizh, Le Syndicat, and the YSL museum. meanwhile, this Afar list makes me want to do something I’ve never wanted: to visit Los Angeles and this use of AI to plan a NYC trip just made me giggle.
after a vote by residents, 500 Paris streets have just come closer to being made piéton ONLY.

somebody must teach NYers how to pronounce the word “printemps” now that it’s entered their lexicon. it is not “prin tomp” (looking at u Grubstreet IG), but “pren-to.” if you take anything from this, let it be that that the final syllable in the word is like in the “on” in the word long.
